Comfort the Dead is the second short film made by oozing sarcasm in May 2002.
Created for submission in the 48 hour film festival, the project went from script to complete film in just 48 hours.
The parameters set by the
festival was that the film must be 5-12 minutes in length, in the genre
of "horror" films.
It also had to include the following items:
Character: a hooker named Carmelle "Courvoisier" McMurtry
Prop: sleeping bag
Line of dialogue: "Grab your wallet and let's spend some money,
Big Boy."
Awards: "Best Cinematography" and "Most Creative Use of the Line of Dialogue"
